ORTHODOX CHIC

Orthodox Chic is the second edition in a series of visual studies on architecture and urban space. The authors - Oleksii Bykov, Oleksandr Burlaka, and Sasha Kurmaz - document the phenomenon of post-Soviet religious architecture, exploring its social, historical, and political contexts. The book features photographs of sacred buildings collected over several years, ranging from traditional churches to small structures and kiosks that serve sacred functions.

The introductory text is by Asya Bazdyreva, an art historian and co-author of the research practice Geocinema.
